    • Core updates
    • Theme updates
    • Plugin updates
    • Translation file updates

1.Update, Update and Update

Keep in your mind that you would always need to update your Core / website. Host – providers are always releasing the patches, update as periodically.

Content Management System – CMS of your host / website will update you the latest patches or updates.

Don’t forget to update all required patches to keep your website without any issues.

2. Plugins and Themes

Although, Content Management system is running but attackers are targeting Vulnerabilities in plugin and themes to attack websites.

You need to always to check the latest version, patches of Plugin and Themes.

3. Maintain your Site Regularly

Your hosted websites should have regular maintenance. How to maintain your website?

The big word is Backup. Yes. You should take regular back up of your site. Also ensure that your backups are getting stored in the Web Server to use in case of emergency.

Although, fully managed sites will help your site patches, maintained and keep the site in control.

4. Use Strong Password and Change it Regularly

Ensure that you password has Alpha – Numeric characters, Upper and Lower case and Symbols.

Although, keep in mind that your password has at least 12 characters in length to prevent brute force attacks.

Don’t use the same password for all your different website logins.

Do Change your password in regular basis. This will help you to keep your website more secured.

Moreover, store user’s password in an encrypted form. This helps even if any security breaches, Hackers don’t have their hands on actual user passwords.
