What types of blogs are really, really and really Profitable?
We’ve spent more time reviewing many blogs and did many researches to find out what kind of blogs are really profitable for beginners and experienced bloggers.
We’ve found that there are many special types of blogs that make more money than other blogs.
The one common thing in all successful blogs is “EDUCATIONAL BLOGS‘.
Those education blogs may be technology, cooking fitness and more. The blog should focus on teaching a group of readers about a topic. Your blog should show or teach your readers how to do something or how to accomplish a goal or target in their life.
Some of the profitable niche include:
- Technology (How-To)
- Food
- Fashion
- Online Business
- Spirituality
- Home Decors
- Financial Management
- Organization & Productivity
- Parenting
As long as you’re offering and educating your readers valuable quality tips, tutorials and advice, you’re in the right path towards success or profit. You can surely start a profitable blog with the right mission in your mind. You can surely monetize your blog fairly without any doubt.
Blogging works straightforward and goes viral sometimes and sometimes doesn’t. People may start a blog as they have a big fan base in social media. It’s totally a wrong approach. For example, you may get a spike of traffic from Facebook in the first week, when a witty post or funny post goes viral.
What’s next? Your traffic will go down and no one is reading, subscribing or commenting on your posts. So the advertisement or sales or leads income would be down or $0.
It’s super hard to write an entertaining post to get the viewers’ attention. You need to write consistent articles on the news channels, still those are not guaranteed to get more views.
No One Tells You Why Blogging is Profitable over Time!
It’s true that marketers and sales people just throw the word “profitable” without knowing the meaning exactly.
When we use the word “PROFITABLE“, it’s worth doing something. It means you’ll get a good ROI (Return on the Investment) of your money or time.
It’s true that the restaurant business is NOT a big or good profitable business if you get too deep. When you add the cost of the food, permit expenses, workers salary and miscellaneous, nothing will be left for the owners. Restaurant owners must sell lots of food and drinks to make decent income from their businesses.
The secret in the hotel or restaurant business is, the margin of selling drinks is higher than the food. They make more profit by selling drinks in their restaurants. Blogging is a profitable business because you’ll spend 3 – 4 hours to write an article and it will make money over weeks, months and even years.
It’s 100% true that the time you spend on your blog to write an article will pay you back handsomely again and again. Blogging will be your cash-generating machine which helps to achieve your goals, lifestyle, earn income on a regular basis like monthly income to your bank account.

Why am I sharing my experience with you?
When I started my first blog, I was working in a MNC company in the IT Infrastructure domain. I wasn’t a full-time blogger too. Still I remember, I started writing an article where I had experience with my mobile phones and laptop issues. I started writing my experience and problem solving skills as a technical guide on saransaro.com.
Still I do remember, I was able to earn $15 (Google AdSense) from my blog traffic in 9 months of initial hard work. I was very happy and I got to know that there is a way to make money blogging.
Also I learnt that if you teach something to your readers you can surely make money. So I decided to write more technical related posts like How-To and problem solving guides.
However I was still sticking with my day job because making $15 is not enough for me. I started researching and reading more about how to make money online from home. Initially I was too confused to decide the right path to go for.
How to Make a Profitable Blog?
There are many ways to earn money online like online jobs, online survey jobs, part-time jobs, highest paying mobile apps and more. But I was very clear that I would need to spend time to earn more money and recurring income.
So my search did not end, I was searching more and more to get my right path. Finally, I decided to take up blogging as my career. As I have technical background and IT knowledge, it helped me a lot to write more technical guides to bring more visitors to my blog.
Traffic is equal to money.
When your blog gets more traffic then you have more opportunities to make money from your blog traffic. In 2014, I quit my day job and started writing more technical articles as I got to know that I can survive online. Within a year, I could earn more money than I was earning in my day job.
Now my blog would lead to:
- Thousands and millions of website visitors
- Strong social media fan base
- Have a lot of subscribers
- Being a successful blogger
Now I’m making a decent regular income from my blogging business. You may check my blog income report here and you’ll really have some ideas from my report.
How long will it take to live a life like this?
Just imagine if your life is,
- No more 9 – 5 daily job
- No boss to report
- You no need to work under inefficient manager
- Work in your own time
- Work from home comfort
- Apart from all, you do something you LOVE and get paid for it.
I was ready to do ANYTHING to achieve my goal and it happened. It took a full-year to become a full-time blogger. It’s good if you can see success in a short period of time. For some bloggers, it may take six months or a year and so on.
Getting success in the blogging field is based on few factors. Those are,
- Strategies
- Work ethic
- Blog niche
- How frequent you publish posts
How much is going to cost?
Just like starting a restaurant, you need to spend something to set up a blog. I’ve clearly explained here how to start a profitable blog with low investment. There would be only one expense you need to make when you create a website is blog hosting. The best part of buying web hosting is, you’ll get a free domain name for your blog.

If You FORGET to do this, you’ll surely FAIL in Blogging.
If I didn’t bring this matter up, I’d be lying to you. It’s an ugly truth. All we live in is a half-hearted passion in the world. No one is following the promises which they have made to themselves. From my experience, I’ve seen many of my readers begin with more enthusiasm. Even they are very fast in setting up their blog and publish few articles in the starting period. But they “Fail to publish on a regular basis“.
If you just started a blog or website then you must publish articles on a regular basis and consistently to attract more audiences to your blog. It’s an unavoidable law in blogging. Those bloggers who FAIL to publish articles on a regular basis will end up with failure in blogging. Their blog will go off and become extinct.
Blogging is always profitable for the bloggers who are really willing to put more effort in the initial period. Bloggers who’re working hard in the initial stage will surely realize that blogging is a profitable business.
I’ve seen in my blogging life that there are some bloggers who are very disciplined in publishing articles on a regular basis. I would strongly suggest you to be a consistent blogger particularly when you’re a blog beginner.

To run a profitable online business, your blog or website to be up and running on 24 X 7. For this, you must need a storage space to store your website or blog’s content like, text, images, videos and more.
Host comes to the picture now. You need to have a hosting to store your blog’s data.
You can buy a cheap host from Bluehost for just $3.95.
The best part of this deal is, you’ll get a free domain name along with your web-hosting.
So, if you have an online business idea then I would strongly suggest you to start with Bluehost, because you don’t need to think about the domain name purchase.
You’ll register a host and free domain name for your business (name).
Keep in mind, your domain name should deliver your brand or niche you’re trying to promote. If your domain tells what your business deals about then that would be great to the viewers.
We’ve many legitimate hosting providers like Namecheap, Hostinger and Siteground. Still, I would like to recommend Bluehost, as you’ll get single click installation and technical support from them.
The maximum expenditure to run a blog is just $3.95/month. Nothing more.
Once you’ve registered your hosting, you need to install WordPress as your blogging software.
But BlueHost offers pre-installed WordPress for its members. So there is no need to worry about the blogging application part.

1. Is Blogging Your Cup of Tea?
This is basic and must ask questions to every blogger themselves before starting blogging. The reason why I say this is, only 10% bloggers are making more than $100 from their blog. Rest of the bloggers are not earning or failing to earn and eventually quit blogging.
There are many reasons why bloggers are quitting blogging. However, there are some common reasons to quit blogging are,
- No Patience
- Not Interested
- No Niche Knowledge
- Not Able to Make Money
- Failed to be Consistent on Publishing.
Keep in mind, If you don’t have passion or interest then please don’t do blogging. If you do so, you’ll surely lose your precious time.
If you want to make money blogging then make sure that you’ve following characteristics.
Patience
If you want to become a successful blogger then your first character should be “Patience”. It’s 100% true that blogging is a long-term journey and you cannot make money over-night or in the beginning stage. It will surely take at least 5 – 6 months to see some traffic coming to your blog (ie., 900-1000 visitors per month). Later on, you’ll start seeing money from your blog after 10 months or a year.
So, you must have more patience in blogging. Trust me! You can check with any blogger. Blogging profit is not going to happen in a single day. Each and every blogger struggled a lot and passed many frustrating times when no visitors came to their blogs. You may be a person who already started a blog and is looking to quit your blogging journey. If so, think back and recall the reason why you’ve started your blog.
Now you’ll have some breathing time to think back and will understand the reason you started your blog. This will help you to keep you on the track and work hard with patience. Most of the successful bloggers managed their tough times.
Hard Work
All jobs have their own ups and downs. You might have seen many successful YouTubers and Bloggers interview on the web. Most of them might have told “How easy job blogging is“. Am I right?
Those Entrepreneurs, YouTubers and Bloggers are famous, because they worked hard and put more effort initially when they started their online business.
I do agree that beginning a blog is really tough. As a blogger, you need to create more quality and valuable content, promote your blog, and do SEO and blog optimization and marketing as well. Keep this word “CONSISTENCY” in your mind when you’re about to start a blog. If you write 4-5 articles and stop to write on a regular basis then you won’t be alive in your blogging journey.
You need to draw some schedules and deadlines. This is the best way to write more posts frequently to get more visitors to your blog.
2. SEO & Writing Quality Content on your Blog
We have already seen that there are millions or blog posts being published every day. So the competition is high in the blogging field. So, make sure that the article you publish on your blog should be valuable and the best when compared with your competitors or others. If your content is better than others then your blog will surely get top rank in the SERPs.
If your blog or post has valuable content then Google will place your blog post on the top of the Google Ranking. However, you must have SEO skills in order to rank top on the Google Search Engine. SEO is the process of optimizing your blog and telling the search engine that your blog post is suitable to answer the query (keyword) typed in the search engine.

Monetization is nothing but making money from your website traffic (visitors). There are many ways to monetize your website traffic.
