How To Enable Face Recognition On Google Photos
- Go to Android phone settings, –>“Apps” –>“Photos” under the “Downloaded” section and click the “Clear Data” button to reset your Google Photos app.
- Now Go to the Google Play store and download TunnelBear, Hola or anyone of the VPN apps.
- Now, open the VPN app and connect. It will essentially trick Photos into thinking that you are connecting from United States, which country that is supported by Google Photos for facial recognition.
- Open the Google Photos app and scroll past the wizard screen. Go to Settings –> enable the option that says “Group Similar Faces – Auto Group photos by matching faces.”
Once you’re done with this setting, you may disable or uninstall the VPN app. But this feature will still be available for use.
The same feature will also become available on photos.google.com.
